Scabiosa: everything you want to know
When it comes to adding elegance and grace to floral arrangements, the Scabiosa is a true gem in the world of cut flowers. The flower and plant have a long history of medicinal activity. From this, the flower also received its name Scabiosa. It’s a reference to the Latin word ‘scabere’ meaning to scratch. This likely references the plant’s use by the Romans to treat scabies, a skin disease. Fortunately, these days we mostly enjoy the beauty of this flower!
