The different types of Gerberas explained
Are you looking for colorful flowers that make every bouquet stand out? Gerberas are a perfect choice! They are known for their bright colors, cheerful shapes, and long vase life. In this blog post, you can discover all the different types of Gerberas that Holex has to offer.
Number of petals and heart color
Gerberas come in single and double flower types. Single flowers have one row of petals with a clearly visible center. These often have a cleaner, more graphic look. Double flowers carry multiple layers of petals, creating a fuller and more textured bloom. These varieties often look extra lush and are perfect for larger bouquets.
Another feature is the heart color, which can be either black or green. The heart color is important to consider when you are creating a floral design; it can differ the looks of your design. A black heart creates a strong contrast, and flowers with a green heart offer a softer, more natural appearance.
The different types of Gerberas
Did you know that there is more than just one kind of Gerbera? Besides the well-known large Gerbera, the Holex webshop also offers Mini Gerbera, and even Micro Gerbera? Besides this, there are also various specialty ranges available in Gerbera and Germini, like Pomponi shaped flowers, Spider, and Pasta varieties. Each type has its own size, shape, and unique appearance. Read on to discover them all!
Gerbera Large
This is the classic and most familiar type. In the Holex webshop, they are known as Gerbera. Gerbera has big flowers with strong stems. The flower size is about 10 to 13 centimeters. They look very striking in bouquets and arrangements and are available in many bright and soft colors. Big Gerberas are ideal as a focal flower in designs; they catch the eye and are long-lasting and reliable.
Favorite Gerbera varieties of other Holex customers are, for example, Gerbera Snoopy, Gerbera Dynamic, Gerbera Don Leo, and Gerbera Pretty Nova. Visit the Gerbera webshop section to discover all the offerings!

Gerbera Mini
Gerbera Mini is better known as Germini. This is also the name we use in the Holex webshop. Germini is a smaller version of the classic Gerbera. Its flowers are about 6 to 9 centimeters in diameter and work very well in mixed bouquets. Because of the smaller head size, consistent shape and cheerful appearance, they are particularly great to use in retail bouquets. Germinis are available in a wide color range and have a strong vase life.
Germini varieties that - amongst others - are popular in our webshop, are Germini Albino, Germini Abby Lou, Germini Juna, and Germini Alix Noor. Check out the other different types of Germini over here!
